Mount Barker Junction

NR91 lifts Great Southern Railway's 6MA8 Overland service from Melbourne upgrade toward Mt. Barker Junction.
The early morning light masks most of the train, including the engine, as the overland rolls on toward Adelaide.
Friday nights 6MA3 'Patricks' train from Melbourne was found idling away in the Mt. Barker Junction crossing loop. This gave us the opportunity to get some relatively good close ups of the train.

Ex. AN motive power is regularly seen as second or third units on trains over the Mt. Lofty ranges. Here DL45 is seen sandwiched between NR97 and NR38.

The whole train, highlighted by the early morning sun, waits to be overtaken by train No. 6MP5.
A final shot.  The three locomotives are highlighted for a brief moment as the sun came out from behind the clouds.
