NR74 Port Pirie and NR109 race 1AD88 inaugural Ghan from Adelaide to Darwin as it approaches a cross with an ARG Grain train at Nantawarra. This train not only made history as the first standard gauge passenger train into Darwin, but also made history as Australia's longest passenger train - 43 carriages for a total of 1.2km's. 1st February 2003.

News -13th April

The Railpage Newsticker is now online. Having just returned from Easter at Quorn there will be new photo galleries comming online very shortly.


 3rd February

Photo galleries of the Ghan's inaugural trip into history are now online. Photo's from a few photographers are now here, not just our own.


31st January

Three new photo galleries are now online, including photos of the two NR class units that will be used to haul the inaugural Ghan to Darwin.


23 January

I have just added the Victorian Locomotive collection, this can be found under the locomotive section.


19th January

The 'bound for Darwin' photo gallery has been updated. Thanks to Kota16 for finding the fault with the dates, and Paul Henley for supplying the photographs of the parallel run into Pt.Augusta.
